Using the CrashPlan console

The CrashPlan console provides two methods for restoring files: zip restores and device restores. Only files backed up to the cloud can be restored from the web.

Zip restores give you access to restore a few files via your web browser when you need them. Each zip restore job is limited to 1 GB (1024 MB) of data, though multiple restore jobs can be run subsequently.

Device restores allow CrashPlan administrators to "push" a restore to any device in your organization, regardless of which user owns the device. There is no limit on the number or size of files that can be restored with a device restore, but the target device must be online.

For more information on restoring through the console, see the article Download files using the CrashPlan console
